Today’s Blocking and Tackling:
- Office 365 is adding settings to allow the management of phishing simulation emails. This will be done via a self service portal, even after messages pass through all the layers of Exchange Online protection.
- The August 2020 Patch Tuesday fixes 120 vulnerabilities, including two zero-days. 17 issues are marked as critical.
- Twitter is now offering options for who can reply to tweets, including “Everyone”, “People you follow”, and “Only people you mention”.
Why do we care?
Besides “Go patch”, I wanted to make small observations.
Leveraging phishing simulation seems like a really significant value add to me, and the kind of training that is needed. Good to see Microsoft giving space for that.
As for Twitter, I’m observing new uses for it – panels, group discussions… let’s see how this plays out. I’m all for it. As a bit of musing, I’m really looking for more ways to have good conversations. I’ve been joining more online groups for exactly that – so reach out and yell at me.
