Business of Tech | Canalys 2024 Report: New Entrants Shake Up MSP Tools Market

According to Canalys’s recently published Global Remote Monitoring and Management and Professional Services Automation Leadership Matrix for 2024, NinjaOne and HaloPSA have gained significant momentum in the managed service provider tools market, moving into the Champions quadrant. This marks a shift as Kaseya has dropped out of this top tier, indicating a potential loss of market share. While traditional leaders like ConnectWise and N-able remain in the Champions quadrant, they face challenges as new competitors emerge, including HaloPSA and NinjaOne. Kaseya, although still a significant player, is reported to be at the bottom right of the matrix, suggesting it has lost some momentum despite having a broad portfolio.

Why do we care?

The evolving landscape highlights a crossroads for heritage brands like ConnectWise, which has recently appointed a new CEO, and Kaseya, which is introducing low-cost service bundles. As these companies navigate changes, the role of artificial intelligence in the market is expected to increase.       We care because there is opportunity here for disruption – we’ll just have to see if it happens.
