Two distribution stories.
TD Synnex is launching a new short-term credit program called Amplify, which offers extended payment terms of 45, 60, 75, or 90 days to U.S. partners. The program aims to simplify order processing and reduce the need for outside finance companies. Eligible partners can self-manage payables through a portal.
CommsPlus Distribution and BTC Wholesale have merged to enhance their support for MSPs and other value-adding channel organizations. The merger aims to leverage synergies, expand the product and service range, and focus on unified communications, collaboration, and audiovisual solutions. The newly merged entity, trading as CommsPlus Distribution, will offer unified communications, contact center services, and displays and devices to MSPs.
Distribution as a bank for providers is the key unlock. Providers should evaluate how these terms can fit into their financial plans and whether they make more sense than outside financing. But as a reminder, you are never the bank. Never.
Increasingly, I’m seeing distribution as a valuable partner in service delivery. That’s the entire rationale behind that merger down under and why I highlight that. We’ll be exploring that further in an upcoming mini-series about distribution.
